Parent Involvement

The school district is continually monitoring the implementation of the Title I plan.  Parents are involved in the planning and design of the district and school Title I plans in the following ways:
 
Serving on the District Title I Committee
Serving on the School Title I Committee
Title I suggestion boxes in each Title I school
Parent Surveys
Input at PTO meetings
 
Parents are always welcome to contact the Title I office at 864-941-5430 to obtain additional information or to offer suggestions for parenting events and/or Title I plans.
 
Title I funds are used to support parent involvement. The parent involvement activities are part of the district set-aside plan. This plan was developed by the members of the district's Title I Planning Team.  The links below provide additional Title I parent information:

Our District Offers  Ready Rosie for parents of Kindergarten - 3rd Grade students. This free service provides tips and videos for demonstrating ways you can support learning at home. If you are not currently subscribed and would like to be, please contact Lori Cothern at 941-5430.
 
Parents in Title I schools will be provided a Title I calendar at orientation.  This calendar includes tips on ways to help your child at home and dates of events at each of the elementary schools. If you do not receive a calendar, please contact the front office at your assigned elementary school or click on the link on the Parent Link page to request one.
