Greenwood School District 50 recently announced hiring three new Assistant Principals following the March Board of Trustees meeting.
Magen Counts will be the Assistant Principal at Mathews Elementary next year. Counts has 15 years of experience in education, with six of those years in Greenwood District 50 as a literacy coach at Merrywood and Mays Elementary Schools. She has also served as an instructional coach and Montessori teacher in Laurens School District 55. Counts obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Lander University and her Masters degree in Montessori Education from Lander University. She also received an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Clemson University in 2023.
Jennifer Uldrick has been named as the Assistant Principal at Pinecrest Elementary School. Uldrick currently serves as a K5 teacher at Hodges Elementary, a position she has held since 2024. During her 20 years in education, Uldrick has worked as a principal, assistant principal, instructional coach, and teacher. Uldrick graduated from Clemson University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management. She obtained her Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Georgia Southern University and an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont Tech. She earned Tier I and Tier II certification in Educational Leadership at the University of West Georgia.
Shakema Robinson will be the Assistant Principal at Woodfields Elementary next school year. Robinson has served as a math instructional coach in District 50 for the last two years. During her 11-year tenure in District 50, Robinson was a math instructional coach and teacher at Mathews Elementary and Rice Elementary. Robinson obtained her Bachelor's degree from Lander University in 2013 in Elementary Education and her Masters of Education degree in Administration and Supervision from Anderson University in 2016.
