Greenwood School District 50 has received confirmation from the FBI that a social media threat that has been circulating in our schools and community originated out of state. Law enforcement has confirmed that there are no credible threats to our schools. Our schools will continue to operate on a normal schedule.
Our district will continue to work with GCSO, SLED, and the FBI on investigating all threats.
Please continue to stress to your child the seriousness of these threats. The consequences for these types of threats are severe. If identified, students will be disciplined in accordance to District 50 policy and potentially prosecuted by the law.
