Tabatha Brewer has been named as the new principal at Pinecrest Elementary School for the 2023-2024 school year. Brewer is currently the assistant principal at Lakeview Elementary School, a position she has held for the last two years.

“I look forward to my new role with the Pinecrest family,” Brewer stated. “I am confident that our collective efforts as a school community will have a positive impact on the learning and lives of the students and staff at Pinecrest.”

During her 29 years in Greenwood School District 50, Brewer has worked as an administrator, instructional coach, and teacher. Brewer graduated from Lander University and went on to earn a master’s degree from Southern Wesleyan. She has also obtained a Masters in Educational Leadership from Western Governors School.

“Mrs. Brewer will do a tremendous job in her new role at Pinecrest,” Superintendent Dr. Steve Glenn stated. “She will have a positive impact on the faculty, staff, students, and parents at the school. She has a proven track record for success in our district and I fully anticipate this to continue in her new role.”

Brewer will replace current Pinecrest Elementary School principal David Grice who will be leaving the district at the end of this school year.
