Erin Watts, Principal at Westview Middle School, has been named as the new Director of Gifted and Talented and Choice/Magnet Programs.
“I am excited about this new opportunity in my professional career,” Mrs. Watts said. “I have high expectations for all of our students and staff in our Gifted & Talented and Choice/Magnet Programs. I look forward to working with the teachers, students, and parents of these programs to continue our tradition of excellence in academics and achievement.”
During her 20 years in education, Watts has served as a high school math teacher, school test coordinator, and administrator. Watts graduated from Lander University in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree. She earned a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Clemson University.
Superintendent Dr. Steve Glenn stated, “Mrs. Watts is well respected by all stakeholders, and she will provide the leadership necessary to continue to promote positive growth among our teachers, staff, and students in our GT and Choice/Magnet Programs.”
