Today, Greenwood School District 50 announced that the recommended changes to choice & magnet programs will be withdrawn. These changes were recently under consideration by the Board of Trustees. After a careful review of the feedback received from the community and the lack of support from the Board of Trustees, the decision was made to withdraw the recommendation.

D50 recently announced End-of-Course Examination Program (EOCEP) testing dates for high school students

The South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE), in partnership with the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, is proud to announce Barry Jacks, Principal of Pinecrest Elementary School in Greenwood School District 50, as the recipient of the Inaugural Principal of Excellence Award.

On Tuesday, October 15, the South Carolina Department of Education and Education Oversight Committee released the 2024 State School Report Cards.

We are pleased to inform you that all schools in Greenwood School District 50 will reopen on Monday, October 14th. Our teams have been working diligently to ensure that our facilities are safe and ready for students to return.

The work assignments provided on the eLearning day scheduled on Friday, September 27 will not be due for anyone until Monday, October 21, 2024.
