Greenwood School District 50 Home

Jim Still has been named as Interim Principal at Greenwood High School. Still is currently completing his fourth year as the Director at the G. Frank Russell Technology Center. Jessica Sprouse has been named as the Interim Director of the G. Frank Russell Technology Center. Sprouse currently serves as the Assistant Director at the Technology Center, a position she has held for the last two years.

Merrick Owen has been named the new Assistant Director of Special Services for the 2025-2026 school year. Owen is currently the Special Education Compliance Coordinator in Chester County School District, a position she has held since 2022.

At its meeting on June 9, 2025, the Board of Trustees for Greenwood School District 50 hired Mr. Shane Goodwin as its new Superintendent, effective July 1, in a unanimous vote.

To most students, Summer Break simply means time off from school and a time to have fun. Whether it is teaming up with some friends for an exciting road trip, playing a ton of video games, or even partying at a friend’s house where alcohol and other drugs may be present, our teens will find a way to have a good time during summer break.

The Greenwood 50 Board of Trustees voted on May 24 to select three candidates as finalists for the position of Superintendent.

Meals will be served on Thursdays June 5th - July 10 from 9 a.m. - 12: p.m. at Emerald High School
